Our <strong>UK\u2013India AI collaboration<\/strong> with Healthy Ideas LTD, UK, is an important step in that direction.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Our first steps were in software development and we are still involved in software development. However, from the outset we had a grander vision \u2013 <strong>to develop the knowledge, technology and research that could enable us to solve challenging problems, and develop products ourselves.<\/strong><strong>&nbsp;<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The collaboration brings together <strong>UK-based sleep and health science expertise with Kraftors\u2019 technology<\/strong>. The Healthy Ideas team brings experience across clinical research, public health, behavioral science and scientific research, while Kraftors contributes its expertise in AI, machine learning, software engineering and technical architecture.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The Memorandum of Understanding is an opportunity for both organisations to explore a strategic partnership in the field of digital health. Healthy Ideas brings <strong>scientific, clinical, public health and behavioural science expertise<\/strong>, while Kraftors brings capabilities in technology, software engineering, AI and technical architecture.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong><a href=\"https:\/\/continualsleep.com\/\">Continual Sleep<\/a><\/strong> is one of the areas we are working towards together \u2013 a healthcare-focused sleep application we are currently developing.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Why this matters to Kraftors<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">For us, this is not simply another project.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">We didn&#8217;t set off on Kraftors with the idea of taking requirements from everyone and making it software.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Instead, we should have been more determined, creating something over time.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Our goal was to have our engineers and technology teams work on problems where the answer isn&#8217;t already known.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Issues that should be investigated, data-driven, experimental, machine learning and lifelong learning.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">This is the core we feel that can keep a technology company relevant for the long haul.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Technology will change continually. The tools which are in use now can be the legacy systems of tomorrow. However, skills in <strong>learning, researching and problem solving<\/strong> are still useful no matter what technology takes the place of the next.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">It&#8217;s for this reason that we&#8217;ve put more and more effort into <a href=\"https:\/\/thekraftors.com\/aiml\">AI and machine learning<\/a>, data science and research-driven development.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Continual Sleep: A UK\u2013India Digital Health Collaboration<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Sleep tracking may look simple from the outside.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">A person is fitted with a device and sits in bed until the next day, when a report is given to them. However, there is a very difficult question below that line of the report:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h6 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Are there technologies that can tell if a person is asleep or awake?<\/strong><strong>&nbsp;<\/strong><\/h6>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">A person can be awake while lying completely still.They might be thinking, sleeping, attempting to fall asleep or waking up partially at night.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">These times can be hard to differentiate for a system analysing wearables.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">This is the type of problem that we are interested in.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">A primary aim with Continual Sleep is not to create another application based on a well-known technology. We want to delve into the root cause of the problem, interact with data, build and test machine-learning solutions, discover why they&#8217;re wrong and work to make them right.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The product is still in the development phase and there is a lot to do.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>We are not saying that we have a solution to the problem.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">We are stating that we will work on that.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Why the <strong>UK\u2013India AI Collaboration<\/strong> Matters<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Issues in healthcare need more than technology.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">They need to understand the clinical needs and behaviours and the actual healthcare settings.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">This <strong>Kraftors UK India AI collaboration<\/strong> is significant because it combines <strong>domain and technology expertise, and not just technology as a service.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">It combines <strong>domain and technology expertise, and not just technology as a service.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">It is also for Kraftors, for us, the kind of international relationship we would like to establish more in the future, not just an implementation partner type, but <strong>technology and co-development partner type.<\/strong><strong>&nbsp;<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Building Global AI Technology from Lucknow<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Kraftors is based in <strong>Lucknow, India<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">There will always be assumptions on where advanced technology and AI\/ML can come from.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">But we think ability should be judged by <strong>the quality of the people, the depth of the work and what a business can do,<\/strong> rather than where a business is on Earth.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">A project in the UK with an organisation in the healthcare sector thus has a personal impact on us.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">It reflects the future of which we want to participate: <strong>Global cooperation, serious engineering and technology based on scientific research that is supported by Lucknow.<\/strong><strong>&nbsp;<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">We don&#8217;t want geography to limit our ambition.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>What Comes Next<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">This MoU is one step in a much larger journey.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Our ambition is to continue developing Kraftors as a company that can do more than deliver software.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">We want to build capabilities in:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>AI and Machine Learning.<\/strong><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Data Science.<\/strong><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Research and experimentation.<\/strong><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Healthcare technology.<\/strong><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Proof-of-concept development.<\/strong><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Product development.<\/strong><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Global co-development.<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Most importantly, we want to build a culture where our own research, knowledge and engineering become part of the company&#8217;s long-term foundation.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>We didn&#8217;t start Kraftors just to build technology for today.<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<h6 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Instead, we started it to build a company that can keep learning, creating and solving problems for many years to come.<\/strong><\/h6>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The collaboration with Healthy Ideas LTD is an important step towards that vision.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>From Lucknow to the UK.<\/strong><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>The journey moves from software services to co-development.<\/strong><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Our focus shifts from implementation to research.<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>This is the direction we are building towards.<\/strong><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Kraftors signs MoU with Healthy Ideas LTD, UK for exploring co-development of digital health solutions such as Continual Sleep.
